Calculate discounts, sale prices, and savings instantly.
Use this discount calculator to quickly figure out the sale price and how much money you save. Three modes cover every scenario: enter a percentage to find the final price, enter the final price to find the discount percentage, or enter the dollar amount saved to reverse-calculate the percentage.
Optional tax rate lets you see the total cost after tax. Everything runs in your browser — no data is stored or sent anywhere.
Multiply the original price by the discount percentage divided by 100. Subtract that from the original price. For example, 20% off $50: $50 × 0.20 = $10 discount, so you pay $40.
Apply the first discount, then use the result as the new original price for the second discount. A 20% + 10% discount is not the same as 30% off.
Tax is applied after the discount. So if a $100 item is 20% off, you pay $80 + tax. With 8% tax: $80 × 1.08 = $86.40.
